Booking & payments
Mediterranea Metal Cruise is a metal holiday combining destination time by day with live music, official activities and a connected onboard community. Visit The Experience for the overall concept and the MMC homepage for the current edition’s dates, route and ship.
Start on the Pricing & Availability page, choose an available cabin and the correct occupancy, then follow the secure booking steps shown there. A reservation is confirmed only after the required payment has been completed and a booking confirmation has been issued. See the How to Book guide for the current process.
Prices are normally shown per person and vary by cabin category and occupancy. The booking platform shows the total amount for the selected reservation before payment. Always use the Pricing & Availability page for the current edition’s prices.
Deposit amounts, payment schedules and eligibility can change by edition and booking stage. See the Payment Plans page for the options and deadlines currently available.
Any booking fee that applies to the current edition is shown separately before payment. Check the Pricing & Availability page and Terms & Conditions for the current amount and rules.
The official booking currency and any available alternative-currency options are shown on the current pricing and checkout pages. Your bank or card provider may apply its own exchange rate or international-transaction fees. Check the Pricing & Availability page before booking.
MMC booking payments are made securely by credit or debit card through our booking platform. Major cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and China UnionPay are accepted, subject to the card issuer and the options shown at checkout. Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion or international-transaction fees.
You can reserve your place even if your final passport or travel-document details are not yet available. Enter the information requested by the booking form and update the missing document details later. The legal name on the reservation must ultimately match the traveller’s valid travel document, and final details are required before sailing.
No. MMC is sold as one complete cruise experience. Access to individual days, concerts or onboard activities is not sold separately.
MMC reservations and payments are generally non-refundable and non-transferable except where expressly stated otherwise. Review the current Terms & Conditions and Changes & Cancellations page before booking. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Valid MMC bookings can only be made through the official MMC booking channels or an authorised MMC travel partner. If you are offered an MMC booking through another website, agency or individual, please contact MMC before making any payment so we can confirm whether the seller is approved.
Cabins & solo travel
Maximum occupancy depends on the ship and cabin category offered for the current edition. Some cabins are available for two guests, while selected categories may accommodate additional passengers.
Solo travellers may be able to book a private cabin at the applicable single-occupancy fare or use the Solo Traveller Match when it is offered. Check the Pricing & Availability page and Staterooms page for current capacities and solo options.
Balcony access is available only in the balcony and suite categories offered for the current ship and edition. Compare the current options on the Staterooms page and confirm availability on the Pricing & Availability page.
Single occupancy means booking a private cabin for yourself at the applicable fare. Solo Traveller Match, when available, means booking one individual place in an eligible shared cabin, with MMC assigning another solo traveller as your cabin mate. Current solo options are shown on the Pricing & Availability page.
Standard cabin prices are based on double occupancy. A guest booking a private cabin alone currently receives a $499 USD reduction from the full double-occupancy cabin total, unless a different amount is shown on the Pricing page.
You can book one place in a shared Interior or Exterior cabin either with full payment through our booking platform, or by completing the matching form and securing your place with the current deposit.
Submitting a matching or registration form alone does not reserve a place unless the applicable booking page expressly states otherwise. A place is confirmed only after the required payment has been completed and MMC has issued a booking confirmation. Always follow the current instructions on the Pricing & Availability page.
MMC will consider the cabin category requested, your acceptable cabin-mate gender preference, usual sleeping habits and preferred cabin atmosphere. Matching preferences are considered where reasonably possible but cannot be guaranteed.
MMC will confirm your cabin mate and final cabin assignment later, once matching and operational arrangements are ready. You will be contacted directly with the relevant information.
Your own confirmed reservation remains valid. MMC may assign another eligible participant or arrange another reasonable accommodation solution. You will not be charged an additional single-occupancy supplement solely because the other participant withdrew.
The cabin category is confirmed with your reservation, but the final cabin number, deck or location may be assigned closer to sailing. Specific cabin numbers or locations cannot be guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Possibly, but only if the booked cabin supports the new occupancy and suitable space remains available. A change may require a different cabin, fare adjustment or administrative charge. Review the Changes & Cancellations page and contact reservations@mediterraneametalcruise.com before making travel arrangements.
Travel & documents
Use Athens International Airport (ATH). Flights are not included in the MMC fare.
International guests should arrive at least one day before embarkation. Same-day arrival is not recommended because flight delays, luggage delays and transfer timing can put the cruise at risk.
Yes. Greece is widely considered a safe and welcoming destination for visitors, including solo travellers, and most guests explore Athens and the islands without any issues. As with any popular destination, use normal precautions, keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas and follow any local guidance during your stay.
For current official travel information, you can also review the U.S. State Department’s Greece travel guidance. Travellers should also check the advice issued by the relevant authorities in their own country before departure.
There is no single vaccination requirement that applies to every passenger. Requirements can depend on the itinerary, nationality, travel history and health rules in effect at the time of travel.
Review the current health guidance for each destination and the CDC destination page for Greece where relevant. Current edition travel guidance is also provided through the Trip Planner and guest communications.
MMC26 embarks and disembarks at Lavrio Port, in the Athens region of Greece.
Most guests will travel with a valid passport. Requirements vary by nationality, residence status and travel-document type. Your name must match your booking, and it is your responsibility to confirm the requirements for Greece, Türkiye and every port on the itinerary. Guests using non-standard documents should contact MMC early and also verify the requirements with the relevant authorities.
Passengers on this itinerary are generally treated as transit cruise passengers during the scheduled Türkiye port call, so a Turkish visa is not normally required for the standard cruise visit. Individual requirements may vary. Guests with non-standard travel documents or immigration circumstances should contact MMC before sailing and verify their requirements with the relevant authorities.
Final boarding and embarkation information will be sent to fully paid guests closer to sailing. Please make sure the email address on the booking is current and check your spam or promotions folder.
Meeting, transfer, check-in and boarding times vary by edition and will be confirmed to booked guests. Do not use times from a previous sailing when arranging travel. Check the Trip Planner and your official guest emails.
Travel insurance is optional but strongly recommended, particularly for guests arranging international flights, hotels and transfers. Review the available Travel Insurance information and the full policy wording before purchasing.
Transfers & embarkation
The MMC shuttle will depart from Syntagma Square in central Athens. The exact meeting point and departure time will be shared with MMC guests closer to the sailing date.
Yes. You can add the shuttle to your reservation up to two weeks before sailing, subject to availability. Email reservations@mediterraneametalcruise.com with your booking code, and the reservations team will update your booking.
Athens city centre is usually more practical than staying near Lavrio Port. Syntagma, Monastiraki, Plaka, Psirri and Koukaki are convenient areas for exploring Athens, and Syntagma is the MMC shuttle departure area.
The metro connects Athens Airport with the city centre, but it does not continue to Lavrio Port. From the airport or city centre, use the MMC shuttle, a taxi, Uber, FREENOW or another private transfer.
MMC plans return-transfer options after disembarkation to central Athens and/or Athens Airport. The exact route, times and final instructions will be confirmed to guests who have booked the service.
Use the MMC Trip Planner for flights, hotel areas, transfers, arrival timing and travel-document guidance.
Included & onboard
The cost depends on the cabin category and the number of guests sharing it. Prices on the MMC website are shown per person, while checkout shows the total for the selected reservation. A mandatory, non-refundable 8% booking fee is shown separately before payment. See the current prices on the Pricing & Availability page.
The current fare includes cruise accommodation, all main meals, all MMC concerts and official activities, EUR 115 drinks and dining credit per person, essential onboard Wi-Fi, an $85 shore-excursion discount per person, port charges and onboard gratuities.
Flights, hotels before or after the cruise, optional excursions, specialty dining, spa services, personal purchases and other services not expressly listed as included are additional. For the complete and current breakdown, please visit our What’s Included page.
Excursions are optional unless a specific activity is expressly listed as included for the current edition. Any excursion allowance, discount or included walking experience can change by sailing. Check the What’s Included page and Excursions page for current details.
All main meals onboard are included. Specialty dining, room service and selected premium items may cost extra.
Main meals are included, with both table-service and buffet options available onboard. Thalassa Restaurant offers Mediterranean and international dishes with vegetarian and vegan choices, while The Taverna provides a more casual buffet experience.
Additional snacks and specialty dining venues may also be available. Some items, venues or services carry an additional charge and are subject to onboard opening times and availability. Guests should enter dietary requirements in their booking and contact reservations for serious allergies or complex dietary needs.
Non-alcoholic drinks are included. For details about alcoholic drinks and any edition-specific drinks or dining benefits, please visit the What’s Included page.
Passengers must be at least 18 years old by the time of embarkation to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages onboard. Alcohol will not be sold or served to anyone under 18, and the cruise line reserves the right to refuse service.
Yes. Essential onboard Wi-Fi is included for messaging, email and light browsing. Higher-usage or premium connectivity may be available separately.
Yes. Personal mobile phones can use the included essential Wi-Fi for supported messaging, email and light browsing. Mobile-network and maritime roaming charges depend on your provider and the ship’s location, so check your roaming terms before sailing.
A telephone is also available in every stateroom and can be used to make calls through the ship’s communication system. Additional charges apply, and current rates will be available onboard.
The onboard currency is the euro. Purchases are charged to your personal onboard account.
Your onboard account is normally linked to an accepted payment card during check-in. A cash-deposit option may also be available under the cruise line’s onboard rules.
Cabins include a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, telephone, safety deposit box, hair dryer and television. Features and layouts vary by cabin category.
The ship provides both North American 110/120V and European 220/230V outlets. Guests should bring any adapters required by their devices.
Luggage allowance is flexible, but cabin storage is limited and all bags are subject to security screening. Pack with the cabin size and your onward travel arrangements in mind.
The cruise line does not permit guests to bring personal alcohol, beverages or food onboard, except where required for a documented medical or infant need and approved under the cruise line’s rules. Duty-free alcohol purchased onboard may be retained until the end of the cruise.
Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated outdoor areas. They are not allowed inside cabins, on cabin balconies or in indoor public spaces. The cruise line may apply a cleaning charge for violations.
MMC does not require formal evening wear. Guests should wear appropriate clothing in dining venues; swimwear and unsuitable beach clothing may not be permitted inside restaurants.
Health, age & accessibility
The ship has an onboard medical centre and medical personnel. Medical consultations, treatment, medication and evacuation are not included in the MMC fare and may be charged separately.
Accessible cabins are limited and must be requested early. Contact reservations@mediterraneametalcruise.com before booking so the team can review your requirements and current availability. Guests who need personal care or continuous assistance must travel with an appropriate companion.
Enter the dietary or meal preference for each passenger in the relevant section of the booking form. For serious allergies or complex medical dietary needs, contact the reservations team after booking with your booking code.
Passengers must be at least 18 years old on embarkation day to travel in their own cabin. Guests under 18 must share a stateroom with a parent, legal guardian or another responsible adult aged 18 or older, in accordance with the cruise line’s requirements.
Infants must be at least six months old on the sailing date. A cot may be requested, subject to availability and confirmation.
The cruise cannot accept a guest who will have entered the 24th week of pregnancy by embarkation or at any point during the cruise. Guests should consult their doctor and review the current cruise-line medical requirements before travelling.
Pets are not permitted onboard. Guests who require an assistance animal should contact the reservations team before booking, as acceptance is subject to the cruise line’s procedures and confirmation.
A child aged 11 or younger may qualify for the current child-rate adjustment when booked as the third or fourth passenger with two full-fare adults. Book the cabin at the correct total occupancy first, then contact reservations with the booking code and the required documentation so the team can review the adjustment under the current Terms & Conditions.
