Quick FAQs for international guests
Planning an international trip can bring a few practical questions.
Flights, travel documents, transfers, timing, booking channels, all normal things to check before joining MMC26.
Here are the key answers.
1. Booking / reservation questions
What’s included in MMC26?

Your MMC26 booking includes:
4-night cruise accommodation
all main meals onboard
€115 onboard drinks & dining credit
all concerts and official MMC activities
Essential onboard Wi-Fi
$85 shore excursion discount
port charges and onboard gratuities
Do I need passport details to book?

No. You do not need to provide your passport or travel document details at the moment of booking.
These details will be required later, before sailing, for cruise documentation, passenger manifest requirements, and check-in.
If you are renewing your passport or travel document, you can still reserve your cabin now and update the details later through your booking.
An agency is offering me the same cruise. Should I book through them?
To be officially part of MMC and receive all MMC access, benefits, support, updates, and official booking conditions, your cabin must be booked through our official MMC booking channel or an authorized MMC partner.
If you’re unsure whether an agency is authorized, contact us before booking and we’ll confirm it for you.
2. Travel documents / Turkey
What travel document do I need to sail?
Most international guests should plan to travel with a valid passport.
Depending on your nationality and accepted travel documents, some guests may also be able to travel with a national ID or other approved travel document.
If you have a specific immigration status, residence permit, refugee travel document, or any non-standard travel document, please contact our reservations team before travelling so we can help check what may be required.

Do I need a visa for Turkey?

Passengers on this itinerary are generally treated as transit cruise passengers during the Turkey stop, so a Turkish visa is not required for the standard cruise visit.
However, individual travel document requirements may vary depending on nationality or personal status. If your situation is not straightforward, please contact us before sailing so we can help check with the cruise line.
3. Flights / arrival / transfers
Are flights included?
No. Flights are not included. Guests book their own flights to Athens.
Which airport should I fly into?

Fly into: Athens International Airport — ATH
Should I arrive the same day the cruise departs?
No, we do not recommend it.
MMC26 departs in the morning, so international same-day arrivals are not suitable. Flight delays happen, and the ship cannot wait.
We strongly recommend arriving in Athens at least one day before embarkation.
Where should I stay in Athens?
We recommend staying around:
Athens city center / Syntagma Square
This area is central, practical, and convenient for guests using the MMC shuttle to the port.
Is the transfer to the port included?
Transfers are available for a small additional fee.
MMC offers shuttle options from Athens city center / Syntagma Square to Lavrion Port on embarkation day, and return options after the cruise to Athens International Airport or Athens city center / Syntagma Square.
Bottom line (the real reason)
Because some experiences are worth adjusting your routine, booking a flight, and saying yes before overthinking it.
MMC is one of those.

See you under the Mediterranean sun… Your metal holiday is just over the horizon.
Rock On!
